Jim Ed Watson, DDS

Dr. Watson is a General Dentist who has built a reputation for his focus in aesthetic dentistry at Jackson Center for Smiles. He holds a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry and attended the University of Mississippi at Oxford as an undergraduate.

Dr. Watson has received additional training all over the United States in cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry. He is a graduate of the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum (PAC-Live), which certifies expertise in veneers and whole-mouth restoration. He has also continued his education and been certified in the areas of surgical and non-surgical Periodontal Therapy, Endodontics, Implant Dentistry, Orthodontics, Prosthodontics, and Practice Management.

Dr. Watson is a native of Yazoo City, Mississippi and after graduating from dental school, he moved to Jackson where he resides with his wife of 26 years and four daughters, ranging from 24 years old to 10. On top of being very active in his daughters’ lives and school events, he also enjoys cycling, hunting, running and college football. Dr. Watson and his family are members of the First Presbyterian Church of Jackson.

Lauren Santarufo, DMD

Lauren N. Santarufo grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School. She earned a BBA degree and minored in chemistry at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL and completed their honors program. She then moved to Philadelphia, PA where she attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 2010 with National Board Exam Honors. In 2011 Dr. Santarufo completed a hospital based general practice residency at Louisiana State University. She then continued her education at LSU by serving as an implant restorative fellow in their periodontal department. There she obtained advanced training in the placement of implant based fixed and removable dental restorations. Through her fellowship, which she completed in 2013, she helped to conduct research for several implant companies on immediate single tooth implant restorations.

 Dr. Santarufo met her husband, Curtis, while they were both attending residences at LSU, and they moved to Madison in 2013. They have two children, Thomas and Joseph. She has served on the Governance and Ethics Board for the Mississippi Dental Association since 2014. She is also a member of the Mississippi Association of Women Dentists. As a lover of lifelong learning she enjoys participating in several study clubs for continuing education. She spends time outdoors fishing and hiking with her boys and Border Collie, Panda. She also enjoys painting, cooking, gardening and watching hummingbirds.
